Lots of new posts...

...So it seems that I always take tons of pictures and then wait to post them on our blog. So you guys are in for a special treat--you've got LOTS of reading/catching up to do! We are all doing very well--have I mentioned that Ethan got his 1st tooth?! His bottom right tooth finally broke through the gum and he was a champ through it all!!! I hope you all are happy and healthy!!!

Play time with daddy

Ethan and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful guy in our lives! Skyler is the perfect husband and the most wonderful, loving daddy! Ethan truly loves to spend time with his da da. It really makes me so happy to watch the two of them bond--I so love my two boys! Skyler's idea of "bonding" with Ethan the other night seemed to be putting Emme's big girl panties on Ethan's head--I couldn't believe it when I joined them upstairs--it was hilarious!! Also, Sky has been really working with Ethan to help him stand up on hold his balance. He's not quite there yet--but I'm sure he'll be walking by Christmas! AHHH!!!

Remember when I said that Ethan loves to be naked? Ethan took his diaper off and I found him standing butt naked at his exersaucer! He was a very, very happy boy.

Gymboree has been the best thing EVER!

We take Ethan to a little play group every Saturday and the teacher does all kinds of fun activities and exercises with the babies. I think that it has really helped with Ethan's development. He is picking up on things so quickly! It's almost like he sees the other babies and either wants to do what they can do (or do it better!). I think I have quite the competitive little spirit on my hands--which makes mama very proud!!!!

Working on hand/eye coordination

Ethan was the only baby (of 5 or 6) that could grab his ball off the cone! ( I know, I'm bragging again) :-)

Notice the other ball still on the cone!

Still has it!

He refused to let it go!!!

Playing baby soccer!!!

My handsome boy is growing up!!!

Doing the "Jimbo Dance"

Yep his shirt says "I'd rather be naked" and it's true--he loves to be nakey!!!

Best Friends!

Ethan is so lucky to have such a good little friend! I watch my friend's daughter, Emme, 4 days a week--and they play sooo well together! She is such a sweet little girl, and is a big help! She loves Ethan very much and he loves her! Here are some adorable pictures of tub time!

It was so nice of Emme to help wash Ethan's hair!

Ethan was the most adorable kangaroo I think I have ever seen! He loved to see other kids all dressed up and enjoyed going around "trick or treating." He makes me laugh so much--I am so blessed to have such a sweet, sweet little baby boy. I couldn't ask for anything better! He started singing along with me to The Wheels on the Bus (obviously not the actual words--for those of you who needed clarification) :-) But he will just blab along with me. It's quite comical. He is sooo smart!!!! Ok, I'm done bragging (for now). Enjoy the pictures!!!

Grandma Savage bought him a dragon, monkey, and puppy costume but we went with the kangaroo. It was fun having so many choices though :)

He was NOT happy to be in that dragon costume!

I guess if the pictures don't speak for themselves--I put Ethan in a pumpkin--and he probably thought I was crazy! It was easy getting him into it--but I practically had to cut him out of it!!

Obviously--he was done cooperating with the crazy mama on the other side of the camera (about 40 pictures later)

I think I'm fully recovered by now. It was almost 2 weeks ago that I went under the knife...and all of the pain has basically subsided (unless Ethan kicks me in the stomach while changing him, or crawls over me to get the remote...) other than that, I feel great! The doctor said I couldn't work out for a while, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him :) Also, he said I couldn't pick up my sweet baby boy for the 2 weeks after the surgery, and for the first two days it really did hurt too much to lift him, but after a few days I just couldn't resist. Who could?! Anyway, I've been a lucky girl to have such a wonderful husband. He took 2 weeks off work to stay home and take care of me and Ethan. He goes back to work tomorrow and I'm gonna miss having him around! I got used to having him do everything for me..."Skyler, will you change Ethan's diaper my stomach hurts......Skyler can you feed Ethan lunch my stomach hurts......." It's been a lot of fun to just spend time together as a family. Ethan especially loved playing with his daddy. He would wake up from his morning nap with this cute look on his face when Skyler would go in to get him out of his crib like, "Huh? You stayed home again today? Alright!"

New pictures

Ethan gets cuter by the day--so I had to post new pictures! He has just started saying da da and sounds that start with G--it's pretty cute. Also, he is getting his first tooth! It hasn't broken through yet, but I can feel it!

Standing like a big boy at his exersaucer

What a happy boy!

He loves his saltine crackers!

About 2 of the snacks actually make it into his mouth...

He loves bath time!

Makin a mess with his biter biscuit...he loves em though!

I can't see with this hood on!

I've Been Tagged!

Ok, here goes...the topic is "My Husband" :-)

What is his name? Skyler Norman Black

How long have you been together? I first met Skyler in 2004, but we officially got together June 29, 2005

How long did you date? Well, we were dating for only 2 months before we got engaged...and 4 months later we were 6 months. Not very long....

How old is he? 24

Who eats more? Skyler can definitely eat more at one sitting (think a whole pizza), but I think I eat much more throughout the day.

Who said I love you first? Skyler--we went out to the woods and made a fire and ate tin foil dinners. It was pretty romantic :)

Who is taller? Skyler

Who sings better? Hmmm--I think I do

Who is smarter? Skyler is smarter school wise--I'm smarter in other ways though.

Who does the laundry? I do for sure...I don't know that I would let Skyler do it considering he washes lights AND darks together.... :)

Who does the dishes? Depends on who cooks, but for the most part we just both pitch in. I usually find dishes that he leaves around the house though....

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? When you look at the bed, I do. In bed, it's Skyler. (I have to sleep closest to the bathroom--ever since the pregnancy, and it's closer to Ethan's room)

Who pays the bills? Skyler

Who mows the lawn? We live in Vegas, so no lawn. If there was though, it would be Skyler

Who cooks dinner? Depends--we both have our moments.

Who drives when you are together? Skyler is always the driver

Who is more stubborn? Good question--Skyler and I are both incredibly stubborn, but it takes a lot longer for Skyler to budge though.

Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? Skyler, but he's usually apologizing for being so stubborn!!!

Who kissed who first? Skyler kissed me first, but of course I was hoping he would!

Who asked who out? Funny thing: when we first met in 2004, he didn't want anything to do with me! Then in June, he walked into the gym where I was working out, walked right up to me and said that we should go out sometime. We went out that night and the rest is history.

Who proposed? Uh, Skyler of course.

Who is more sensitive? Me for sure. It all started about 17 months ago when I found out I was pregnant..... :)

Who has more friends? I think I stay in touch with more of my "old" friends, but Skyler has more now (through work and stuff) but really, who are we kidding...his friends are my friends and mine are his...

Who has more siblings? I do 5 on my end, 3 on his.

Who wears the pants in the family? Silly question...we both are equally in charge of decision making...actually, I think Ethan wears the pants! :-)
